History
The Penna Family would like to take a moment to thank you for the many years of support and friendship for over 45 years. You have honored us with your family, friends, and relatives. We will continue to be devoted to you and it ‘s our pleasure to share your most treasured memories!
The rich history begins with Frank Penna arriving in New York from Italy and shortly after moving to the city of Detroit. With hard work and dedication, he brought his family, his wife Angelina and two sons Anthony and George, to America. Shortly after, the couple had a daughter Marylou. The Penna’s then opened their first restaurant thanks to Angelina’s century old Italian recipes. The guests kept coming and business continued to grow. In 1974, the Penna’s opened their Warren location, which doubled the size of the previous location.
In 1985 the Penna family moved its location to Sterling Heights. Penna’s of Sterling managed by Tony and Marylou, can host up to 1,100-people. In 1995 they made the decision to open Villa Penna, managed by George, which can host up to 450 people. Since then both locations continue to establish solid relationships with existing and new guests. We look forward to seeing you in the future!!
“We are devoted to you and it’s our pleasure to share your most treasured memories.”
